Oversized Print Shirt

Trousers - Boohoo
Heels - Missguided

When I saw this shirt it gave me instant Versace vibes.  All my shirts are plain so this was definitely different to what I'm used to. I love the silky feel of the shirt, it's also oversized so there are different ways you can style it.  This shirt is perfect if you can't be bothered to put too much thought into your outfit, throw this on with plain trousers or jeans and your good to go!

Pinstripe Ruched Blazer

Blazer - Prettylittlething (matching trousers)
Jeans - Boohoo
Bag - Misspap
Heels - Missguided

I feel like I haven't worn jeans for ages, It might be because I spent nearly a month in the warm sun in Uganda wearing mostly dresses and shorts.  I bought this blazer along with the matching trousers last month, I loved the set together and couldn't wait to wear it and also blog it, but then I randomly just felt like wearing jeans instead, so strange.

I love this blazer, it's very different to any blazers I have owned.  It slacks around the neckline and has the most beautiful ruched sleeves.  The blazer and matching trousers are both more half price now too!!

Is Valentine's Day Overrated?

Top - Boohoo
Trousers - Boohoo
Heels - Missguided

I feel like I have been living under a rock as I only just realised it's Valentine's day tomorrow.  I mean I do know it's on Feb 14th but it's not a day I pencil in my diary and it's really the world of social media that reminds me it's coming.

I have a lot of thoughts when it comes to Valentine's day, one being that it's a day that puts both men and women under pressure to buy gifts, flowers, chocolates and go on expensive dates.  There is nothing wrong with this at all, those gestures should be done in a relationship anyway.  But I think there is something special about doing those things as a couple because you're celebrating an anniversary, or a special moment or just doing it because you both feel like treating each other once in a while, the point is, your doing it for you! not because everyone else is.

I'm 14 years into my relationship, I can't deny that the first few years we did celebrate V day, it is something cute to celebrate when you're in a new relationship and a fun way to spice up a date.  I prefer to buy my other half a gift because I want to make him feel special for whatever reason that may be, rather than run around like a headless chicken with the rest of the UK.

I don't knock anyone that celebrates V day, I use to as well, when it comes down to it, any reason for celebration is a good reason to unwind and enjoy a great night with the one you love.

Do you celebrate Valentine's day? If so, what will you be doing?

Boohoo Pleated Culottes

Culottes - Boohoo
Top - Boohoo
Heels - Missguided
Bag - Misspap

Happy hump day guys! Is it me or is this week just dragging? My mind is already living in Friday lol.
I'm in love with these culottes so much that I'm so tempted to buy them in red and black too.!

I really like the pleats and also the fact that they're high waisted. I'm always cautious with culottes because I'm only 5'2 so run the risk of my legs looking like their swamped in fabric. These culottes are 100% short girl approved!

Different Shades of Brown

Jumper - Boohoo

Bag - Missguided (sold out)

Happy New Year my lovelies! I hope you all had a good Christmas and a lovely break from work.  I spent Christmas in Uganda.  I was there for 3 weeks with Ava and my family and also saw the new year in from there.  It was probably the best holiday I have ever had.  I wouldn't call it so much a holiday as I'm half Ugandan and 70% of my family still live there, so it's home to me.  But the last time I visited Uganda was in 2004 and I was too young to appreciate the beauty of Uganda and also to young to explore.

Going back there as an adult and being able to go off and do my own thing made me see Uganda in a different way, I truly feel in love and can't wait to go back.  Ava also loved being free, playing with her young cousins in my uncle's big backyard, she has blossomed so much.

Ok, I feel like I'm slowly typing and dazing off into the dream that Uganda was, so moving on from that topic, unfortunately, I'm so excited to be back on the blog! I have shot so many outfits and I promise that I will be blogging twice a week, thanks for sticking with me guys!

I don't enjoy dressing for winter if I'm honest because I'm always thinking about how cold I am.  But I love how this outfit came together!  I have never worn so much brown, but the different shades actually work so well together.  This jumper from Boohoo is super warm and is currently on sale at the moment!
